Epson TM-L90 Linerless Setup Guide
Setup instructions for Epson TM-L90 series liner-free label printers. Configure for optimal linerless label printing.
Setup Steps
- 1
Power off and open cover
Turn off the printer using the power switch. Press the cover open lever to release and lift the paper cover.
- 2
Remove existing paper
If there's existing paper in the printer, remove it completely. Check for any paper fragments that might cause jams.
- 3
Position the linerless roll
Insert the linerless roll with the print side facing up. The paper should unroll from the top, towards the front of the printer.
Tip: Epson recommends using rolls with the Epson-certified linerless coating for best results.
- 4
Thread through the sensor
Guide the paper over the platen roller and through the paper guides. Ensure the paper is aligned with the left paper guide.
- 5
Close the cover
Press down on the paper cover until it clicks. The printer should automatically feed and cut the paper.
- 6
Configure via Epson utility
Use Epson's TMNet WebConfig or Windows configuration utility to set: paper width, liner-free mode enabled, and print density.
- 7
Calibrate paper sensors
Run automatic calibration from the configuration utility. This ensures accurate paper detection and cut positioning.
- 8
Print test label
Send a test print job to verify setup. Check for proper alignment, clear printing, and clean cuts.
Troubleshooting
Error light flashing
Solution: Check paper path for obstructions. Ensure cover is fully closed. Power cycle the printer if error persists.
Labels cutting in wrong position
Solution: Recalibrate the paper sensor. Verify the correct paper type is selected in the configuration utility.
